Our Team

Jamie started working in the industry with Ernie Redekop over 20 years ago and has experience in both multi-unit residential construction as well as custom residential construction. Jamie specializes in quality management, building sciences and energy efficiency.

I am a project manager with Quantum Properties, a multi-family residential and commercial buildings developer in Abbotsford. I have been with the company since 2009 and started off as a sales associate working with our sales team selling condos in various Quantum projects and eventually worked my way to assistant sales manager. From there I have also had the opportunity to work in various departments in the company which included assisting in the accounting department, property management and eventually the construction department. I had the opportunity to step up into the design coordinator role in 2019 as well as project manager. More recently my main focus is my role as project manager and I have since then completed two multi-family developments with more on the horizon. My husband and two boys have lived in Chilliwack for the past 7 years and share a love for cars and drag racing as a family. Most of our weekends are filled with racing at Mission Raceway Park as well as traveling to the United States to race at different tracks. I am grateful for the opportunity to sit on the board of the CHBA-FV and hope to contribute some of my knowledge that I’ve gathered over the years in the world of multi-family development.

Mark Brandow is the Vice President of Sales with Centra Windows. He has been working with Centra Windows since 1996 and is proud to say that he is also a Centra owner. Mark has been in the window and door industry since 1985. When he joined Centra Windows, he started in the manufacturing plant, and through the years as opportunities arose, he was promoted through the company. Being involved in different aspects of the company has provided a vast understanding of windows, doors, and the building envelope. Working with an employee-owned company with many years of experience, has been so beneficial, both professionally and personally. Mark and his wife just celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary, and are proud parents to three children: two girls and one boy. Looking forward to the year ahead on the board of the CHBA -FV to help support our members.

Michael Liu is the regional manager for FortisBC’s Lower Mainland Residential and Commercial New Construction Team. He leads an expert group of Energy Solutions Managers who are responsible for year-over-year incremental growth in customer attachments averaging 10,000 new customers per annum, delivering essential energy to over 1.2 million customers to heat our homes and places of work, learning and play while enhancing lifestyles with reliable, secure and cost effective energy solutions. Michael’s team partners with builder-developers to bring innovative energy solutions, energy efficiency rebate programs and low carbon fuels (including renewable gas) to new buildings. In his personal time, Michael trains for and competes in marathon and triathlon events. He recently completed Ironman Canada in Penticton and he looks forward to Boston Marathon in 2023.

CHBA – Fraser Valley Bio Lane O’Brien – O’Brien Contracting Ltd. Originally from Maple Creek, Saskatchewan, I moved out to BC in the Fall of 2011 to pursue acting while also working in the construction industry. My schooling background as a Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter gave me a knowledge base above many of my coworkers when I first started out in the BC Construction industry. Initial projects that I worked on included a Highrise build in North Vancouver, along with home renovations as a subcontractor. In 2016 I decided to open my own construction company, so that I would be able to better manage construction sites, the amount of waste involved with building, as well as exploring my passion to incorporate more sustainable building options. I am very passionate about reducing our ecological footprint through building/renovating homes. Through recently completing my Home Builders program, as well as Net-Zero trained certification, I am excited to also contribute on the Members Board of the CHBA Fraser Valley. Changes need to come to our way of building both in BC, but also in Canada, and I am excited to be a part of that change.

Steve has been involved in the Construction Industry since 1995. He started working in the construction trade from the ground up as a carpenters helper and started framing on his own as a subcontractor in 1998. Steve is the owner and president of Atsma Construction Ltd. and has been working as a General Contractor and Builder since 2007. He currently builds custom homes, spec houses and works on large home renovations. Current large projects Steve is involved in are a 17 unit row home project as well project coordinator for an $18 million new construction and renovation build at Abbotsford Christian School. Steve has been a Board Director at ACS for 5 years and has coached volleyball there for 5 years. Steve is married and has 3 kids in grades 12, 11, &8. He enjoys spending time with his family and watching his kids play sports and live and grow in Abbotsford.

Troy MacBeth Abromaitis serves as a Senior Development Manager at Musqueam Capital Corporation, with nearly two decades of experience in real estate across Western Canada. As a proud member of the Lytton First Nation, he played a pivotal role in assisting his community with rebuilding efforts after the devastating wildfires of 2021. Troy’s experience spans master-planned communities, residential, mixed-use, and rental projects. Formerly the President of the Real Estate Institute of British Columbia, he is set to become the President of the Canadian Home Builders – Fraser Valley. Troy holds a B. Tech in Management from BCIT, along with a Diploma of Urban Land Economics and PGCV from UBC.

Jennifer joined the Canadian Home Builders’ Association of the Fraser Valley in 2015 as Executive Assistant and took on the role of Executive Officer in 2017. She works with passion and optimism and embraces the opportunity to connect with the CHBA FV community. She comes with an extensive background in business management and marketing; Has her B.A. from the University of Hawaii and is hoping to complete her Bachelor of Science (BSc.) from UFV one day. When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with family and tending to her furry and feathered babies.
